TDT AG: The first router manufacturer with IT-Grundschutz certificate from the Federal Office for Information Security

Whether the seal "IT-Security made in Germany" or the standard "ISO 9001" - TDT AG, its products and services have already been certified several times in the past by renowned test centres for outstanding quality.
In 2017 the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) confirmed with a certificate that TDT as a company fully complies with the highest quality and security standards.

"We are very pleased with the recognition of our work from the highest level. For us, the BSI certificate, which we are the first router manufacturer in the world to receive, is an incentive to continue to optimise and live our performance standards and corporate values", explained Michael Pickhardt, CEO of TDT AG. Since its foundation in 1978 the name TDT has stood for innovative and secure data communication.

The award of the certificate was preceded by a thorough examination of the company by an auditor certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security. After confirmation of the necessary IT security measures and a management system for information security, the certificate (BSI-IGZ-0294-2017) was awarded.

"TDT AG has been awarded BSI certification according to the IT-Grundschutz as a whole company", explains Michael Pickhardt. "We had decided to continuously maintain the entire operation, from development, production and sales to customer networks, at the highest security level and have it certified. As resellers, our partners also benefit from this, as they can offer their customers, for example companies and authorities, solutions and services that have been fully certified by the BSI according to ISO 27001".

The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is the central, independent and neutral body for questions concerning IT security. The BSI protects the federal government's networks; however, it also addresses commercial and private providers and users of information technology.
